Before the holiday, our Year 5 pupils took part in a fantastic art workshop led by Never Such Innocence and what an experience it was.
The workshop, part of the Month of the Military Child, focused on the theme ‘Winds of Change’, encouraging pupils to reflect on the experiences of children from military families and the changes they may face. Through creativity and discussion, pupils explored these ideas thoughtfully, producing powerful and imaginative artwork.
The sessions brought together both service and non-service children, highlighting empathy, understanding and shared experiences. It was wonderful to see pupils so engaged; working collaboratively, expressing their ideas with confidence and taking real pride in their creations.
The artwork produced will contribute to a wider display as part of a Best School Display competition, alongside other schools across the King’s Group Academies in Gosport.
A huge thank you to Never Such Innocence for providing this fully funded opportunity and giving our pupils a meaningful platform to express themselves through the arts.
