To help families plan and budget, we have published an overview of the voluntary contributions we anticipate requesting throughout the academic year. This has been developed in response to parent and carer feedback, recognising the importance of providing as much notice as possible.

Wherever we can, we will give reasonable advance notice of educational visits and activities that require a voluntary contribution. Occasionally, exciting opportunities arise at short notice and, in these circumstances, it may not be possible to provide the usual notice period. If this happens, we will communicate with families as early as we can and invite your support where appropriate.

Residential visits involve significant planning and financial commitment. For this reason, we aim to provide approximately one year’s notice to allow families plenty of time to prepare. We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff, whose goodwill and commitment make these memorable experiences possible.

Please note that the estimated costs below are provided as a guide and may change due to factors outside the school’s control, such as transport, venue or provider costs. We may also add additional opportunities during the year if they enrich our curriculum and benefit our pupils.

As always, we strive to keep costs to a minimum, making use of the KA Gomer minibus wherever possible. However, coach travel has increased significantly in recent years and remains one of the largest costs associated with educational visits.

We greatly value the support of our parents and carers. Your voluntary contributions enable us to provide the rich, memorable experiences that enhance learning, broaden horizons and create lasting memories for our children.
