We are not quite sure who is prouder. The children or us…

Year 5 have been creating some fantastic double-page spreads all about otters, and the results are wonderful. They have used a range of research skills to find interesting facts and information, carefully selecting the most important details to include in their work.

We have been particularly impressed by the creativity shown in the presentation of their non-fiction writing. From eye-catching layouts and illustrations to informative diagrams and fact boxes, the children have thought carefully about how to engage their readers while sharing their knowledge.

As well as developing their research skills, this piece has helped children to organise information, write clearly for a purpose and present their learning with pride.

The finished pieces are a real credit to the effort, enthusiasm and creativity shown by everyone involved.
