What a way to celebrate our amazing Year 6 pupils as they prepare to leave King’s Academy Rowner. After months of hard work, dedication and determination especially during their SATs preparation, our Year 6 children certainly deserved a fantastic end to their primary school journey. They have worked incredibly hard, shown resilience and demonstrated the values we are so proud of across the academy.

Activities Week was a brilliant opportunity for the children to relax, have fun and create lasting memories. From local adventures to spending time together outside of the usual classroom routine, the week was full of laughter, teamwork and new experiences.

The annual camp out was another highlight and provided the perfect opportunity for everyone to come together. With pizza, a silent disco, games, crafts, tattoos and much more, the children had an unforgettable evening. It was also lovely to welcome families along for the picnic after the camp out – a really special chance for everyone to share in the celebrations and enjoy time together as a community. The adults may have only managed around two hours of sleep, but the children had an absolute blast and that is what matters!

The Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly was a wonderful celebration of their time at King’s Academy Rowner. We loved the creative links to Sir David Attenborough, and what a super surprise opportunity it was to have him provide the voiceover for one of our videos! The children shared their memories, talents and achievements brilliantly, and it was a fitting tribute to a very special year group.

As you leave us, we want you to remember how proud we are of you. Keep being curious, kind, brave and determined. We know you will continue to achieve great things as you move on to the next chapter of your journey. Thank you for the memories, Year 6. We wish you all the happiness and success for the future.
