Before half term, Year 5 took part in an exciting poetry competition called Wonderverse. This imaginative world of poetry encouraged children to explore their creativity by writing poems on any topic, using any style or technique. From incredible worlds and fantasy creatures to heartfelt emotions, favourite places, or class topics, the children embraced the opportunity to express themselves through poetry. Last week, Miss Winzar and Miss Daly were thrilled to announce some amazing news: the children who participated will have their poems published in a book titled “Wonderverse – Little Laureates”! In the new year, the school will receive two copies of the book to proudly showcase their hard work and talent. Well done, Year 5! Becoming published poets at such a young age is a fantastic accomplishment—what an amazing effort!
