We are absolutely thrilled to share that our beautiful Blue Tits continue to flourish here at King’s Academy Rowner! All eight chicks are thriving, and at around 19 days old, they’re now looking very much like proper little birds. We expect them to fledge the nest in about a week, so every moment watching them is treasured.

Year 4 loved their visit to observe the birds yesterday, and even the KGA Executive Team, who held their meeting in The Drey on Wednesday, found themselves a little distracted by the sheer loveliness of our feathered friends.

We’ve also learned what to do with the nest once the family moves on, in the hope that our Blue Tits might choose to return next year. We feel incredibly lucky to have had this special glimpse into nature right here at school.
