Yesterday, our school was thrilled to host a series of exciting digital workshops, delivered by the talented team from Discovery 3 – all for free! Each year group had the opportunity to engage in activities that tied directly into their current topics, with expert guidance from Discovery 3 specialists who brought all the resources and expertise.

Here’s what each year group worked on:

• Year 3: Students explored magical lands through a digital book creation workshop using tools like Book Creator and Toontastic.
• Year 4: Children created animated adverts linked to their studies on the Romans, offering a fun way to apply their learning while enhancing their digital skills.
• Year 5: Pupils were immersed in movie-making activities, blending creativity with the use of technology.
• Year 6: Children participated in an interactive green screen vlogging and movie-making session, incorporating their knowledge of WW2 in a dynamic, modern way.

This incredible opportunity, generously provided by Discovery 3, allowed the children to deeply engage with essential digital skills while tying in with their current classroom learning. We are so grateful to Discovery 3 for their time and expertise. Our role was simply to support and encourage the children as they immersed themselves in this vital learning experience – preparing them for the digital world.
