Over the half-term break, our beautiful bee garden has popped into colour and become one of the most eye-catching features of our school grounds once again. This annual display is something we look forward to every year. Not only does it look stunning, creating a wonderful splash of colour for children, staff and visitors to enjoy, but it also plays an important role in supporting local wildlife.

The garden is specially designed to attract bees and other pollinators. Bees are incredibly important because they help pollinate many of the plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables that we rely on. Without them, our natural environment and food production would be significantly affected. By providing a welcoming habitat full of bee-friendly flowers, we are doing our small part to support these vital insects.

Whilst we all enjoyed last week’s glorious sunshine, the recent rain has been just what our plants needed. The combination of sunshine and showers has helped our school grounds look particularly vibrant and healthy, with the bee garden now at its very best.

A huge thank you goes to Mr Riley, whose hard work, care and attention keep our grounds looking so beautiful throughout the year. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful outdoor environment for our children to enjoy and learn from.

If you are visiting the school over the coming weeks, do take a moment to admire the bee garden, located next to The Drey.
