Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed developing their art skills through a clay project linked to their learning about geometric patterns. The children explored shape, line and repeated design, taking inspiration from ancient Greek art.
They carefully shaped and moulded Greek-style plates and bowls, applying their understanding of balance, pattern and form while further refining their clay-modelling techniques. Pupils showed excellent focus, creativity and perseverance, and there was a real sense of enthusiasm throughout the classroom.
The plates and bowls are now ready for the next stage, where final designs will be added. We are excited to see how the finished geometric patterns will bring each piece to life. A fantastic effort from Year 4.
