We are delighted that you are considering a place for your child at our school. We are aware that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. We encourage parents/carers to view our school prior to applying for a place for your child. At King’s Academy Rowner, we are committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where every child is valued and supported, regardless of their needs or abilities. We admit all learners, including those with disabilities, and strive to ensure that no pupil is treated less favourably due to their disability.
Preventing Unfavourable Treatment We are proud to admit all pupils, regardless of their physical, learning, or medical needs. Rowner follows robust procedures to ensure pupils with disabilities are treated fairly and equitably, promoting equal access to learning opportunities for all.
Facilities for Pupils with Disabilities Our school is not fully accessible due to having stairs. To ensure ease of movement, we can provide ramps and wide corridors that are wheelchair accessible. For pupils requiring additional support, we have specialised seating and hoists to meet medical needs, ensuring all pupils can fully engage in school life.
Accessibility Plan We regularly review our school’s accessibility to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our pupils with disabilities. For more information about our environment and access, please see here.
