Year 4 recently enjoyed an inspiring visit to Fishbourne Roman Palace, bringing their classroom learning to life! They enthusiastically participated in hands-on workshops, where they practiced writing their names in wax, tried their hand at creating mosaics, and had fun dressing up in Roman-style clothing. As they explored the palace grounds, the children discovered the fascinating herbs and plants used by the Romans for medicinal purposes and admired the ancient Roman mosaics still in remarkable condition. They also had the chance to delve into the museum’s exhibits, learning more about the daily lives of the Romans. The children represented the school wonderfully throughout the visit, and they left Fishbourne with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Roman history. A fantastic day for all involved!
