As part of our RE unit ‘Belonging’ from the Living Difference agreed syllabus, Year 3 visited St Mary’s Church to take part in a special role play experience. During the visit, the children learned about Baptism and how this important Christian ceremony links to the idea of belonging. They watched and took part in a role play / re-enactment of a Baptism, gaining a deeper understanding of the symbols and meaning behind the celebration. Afterwards, the children enjoyed a lovely tea party, recreating the joy and togetherness that often follows a Baptism. A huge thank you to St Mary’s Church for hosting us and helping bring our RE learning to life. The children had a wonderful time.
