Year 4 have shown creativity and skill in their latest Design and Technology project. Inspired by explorer Kira Salak, whom they have been learning about during their Cojoes sessions, the children explored different types of fastenings before designing and sewing their own felt satchels. They chose to use buttons to secure their bags, carefully stitching each one by hand. Along the way, they developed a range of practical sewing techniques and deepened their understanding of how to design with both purpose and function in mind. We are so proud of their resilience and attention to detail because very satchel is as unique and adventurous as the explorers who made them!
