Year 3 have been busy investigating the fascinating world of magnets as part of their science learning! The children have been exploring how magnets attract and repel, testing different materials to discover which are magnetic, and developing their scientific thinking through hands-on investigations. To put their learning into action, they designed and created their own magnet mazes! Using their creativity and problem-solving skills, the children carefully crafted paths and obstacles, then used large magnets to guide metal objects through their mazes—learning about forces and motion in an exciting and interactive way. The classroom was filled with excitement as the children experimented with different routes and challenges, discovering how the strength of a magnet can move an object without touching it. This engaging activity helped them deepen their understanding of magnetic forces. We are proud of our budding scientists for their curiosity and enthusiasm. Well done, Year 3.
