Year 4 had an amazing time celebrating Greek Day, and the sunshine made it even more special. They started the day by exploring coprolite, learning how these fascinating fossils help us understand life in ancient times. The children asked thoughtful questions and enjoyed discovering what archaeologists can learn from the past. Next, they travelled (in spirit!) to Greece through food. Everyone had the chance to taste and make their own Greek salad, carefully preparing fresh ingredients and learning about traditional Greek cuisine. It was a big hit, and many pupils were excited to try something new. In the afternoon, the excitement continued with our very own Olympic Games. The event began with a special torch and opening ceremony, just like the real Olympics. The children then took part in a variety of fun challenges, showing great teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm. To finish the day, we celebrated our efforts with the presentation of the famous wreath, recognising the fantastic participation and sportsmanship shown by everyone. It was a wonderful day full of learning, activity, and smiles.
