This week we were delighted to receive a delivery of over 150 new banded reading books, which have now been added to our reading shelves and are ready for the children to enjoy. At our school, every child has a colour-banded reading book and reads every day, either with an adult or independently. These new books will help ensure that pupils continue to have access to a wide range of engaging texts that match their reading level and support their progress. This forms part of our ongoing commitment to our Year of Reading, where we are placing an even greater focus on the importance of reading and encouraging children to develop a lifelong love of books. If you would like your child to take a reading book home so that you can support their reading together, please speak to your child’s class teacher, who will be happy to help.
