Just before half-term, we were delighted to welcome parents and carers into school for a very special end-of-day gathering. Children from across the school invited their families to join them for some calm, cosy down time together. This marked the finale of our activities for Children’s Mental Health Week. Throughout the week, pupils explored what mental health means, why it matters, and the small but helpful ways they can look after themselves. They discussed strategies such as talking to a trusted adult, spending time outdoors, practising gratitude, and taking moments to pause and breathe.

On the final day, the whole school embraced the theme by coming in wearing pyjamas and onesies, creating a snug and relaxed atmosphere. It was lovely to see children confidently sharing with their adults the strategies they have learned to support their own well-being.

Thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us and helped make the occasion so special. Working together, we can continue to support our children in developing the understanding, confidence and habits they need to look after their mental health – now and in the future.
