We are delighted to introduce our new Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs), who will be playing an important role in helping everyone at King’s Academy Rowner stay safe on the roads, whether walking, cycling, or scooting to school.

Our JRSOs will be working closely with our active travel partner, to promote safe and sustainable ways to travel. Throughout the year, they will be leading assemblies, running competitions, and sharing important messages to help encourage all children and families to walk, wheel, or cycle wherever possible.

This role is a key part of our school’s commitment to sustainability and wellbeing. By supporting Sustrans’ mission, our JRSOs will help reduce traffic around school, cut pollution, and make our community a safer, cleaner, and healthier place for everyone.

We are so proud of our new JRSOs for showing leadership, responsibility, and care for others, values that reflect our school ethos of Honesty, Faith, and Courage.
