In art this week, Year 4 have been working on the final outcome of their still life unit. Last lesson, they created their first pieces, applying the skills they’ve developed so far, experimenting with different media, drawing from observation, and using texture to bring their work to life.
Their artwork is inspired by the artist Giorgio Morandi, known for his beautiful still-life compositions. After completing their first attempts, pupils thoughtfully self-evaluated their work, identifying two strengths and one area to improve.
Today, they put that feedback into action as they created their second versions, and the results were fantastic! Their creativity, focus, and artistic growth really shone through.
