At King’s Academy Rowner, we believe it is vital to be actively anti-racist and to promote equality, kindness, and respect in everything we do. On Friday, we showed our support for Show Racism the Red Card by wearing red accessories with our uniform. This was a powerful reminder that small actions can make a big difference when we stand together.

Across the school, children took part in thoughtful discussions and worked through different scenarios to deepen their understanding of what racism is, how it can affect others, and why it is everyone’s responsibility to challenge it. Being anti-racist means more than simply not being racist. It means speaking up, showing empathy, and taking action to ensure that everyone feels valued and included. Our children showed great maturity and compassion as they reflected on how they can help make the world a fairer and kinder place for all.

At KA Rowner, we are proud to nurture a community built on honesty, faith, and courage, where every child is encouraged to celebrate diversity and stand up for what is right.
