Year 4 kicked off Groundforce Day with an exciting outdoor maths challenge! Scattered around the playground were a variety of maths problems covering all strands , from fractions and rounding to multiplication and more. Each correct answer revealed a final digit that corresponded to a letter, helping the children crack a secret code… Groundforce Day Fun! And fun it certainly was!

After using their problem-solving skills, the children put their creativity and teamwork into action by designing and building bee hydration stations. These clever creations will be filled daily with sugar water to help care for the bees around our school grounds.

To finish, Year 4 spent time watering and tending to our sensory garden – a space they’ll continue to nurture over the coming weeks. We think the bee hydration stations turned out brilliantly – buzz on by and have a look!
