What better way to celebrate the end of Year 6 SATs week than with a bacon roll or sausage bap, freshly cooked by the amazing Lorraine. This morning, the aroma of sizzling sausages and bacon filled the air as our brilliant cook came in early to serve up a delicious treat to our hardworking pupils. A huge thank you to Lorraine for her time – the children absolutely loved it!

All week long, our Year 6 pupils were brilliantly fuelled and ready for each day’s tests thanks to our SATs Breakfast Club. From Monday to Thursday, they tucked into a range of breakfast options designed to power their brains and calm their nerves. Here’s our shopping list for the week – proof that our pupils were well fed and raring to go:

SATs Week Shopping List

  • 21 loaves of bread (for mountains of toast)
  • 100 crumpets
  • 96 pancakes
  • 60 croissants
  • 12 bunches of bananas
  • 4 tubs of grapes
  • 36 pots of yoghurt
  • 2 litres of orange squash
  • and more…

Our Year 6s rose to the challenge this week. They showed resilience, focus and determination in every single test. We are all incredibly proud of them – not just for their effort this week, but for the brilliant learners and young people they are every day. With thanks to the whole school for managing a slightly different schedule and for recognising why.
