Today, our school was filled with the magic of stories as we celebrated World Book Day 2025 with this year’s theme: Read Your Way! Encouraging children to embrace books in a way that excites and inspires them, we saw a fantastic mix of snuggly bedtime wear and creative book-themed costumes – Tin Tin was a particular favourite!

The whole school gathered for a special assembly, celebrating the joy of reading and sharing our favourite stories. Throughout the afternoon, children immersed themselves in a variety of engaging activities designed to spark their love for books. From book tasting, where they explored exciting new reads, to meeting an author and sharing book reviews, every moment was an opportunity to deepen their connection with reading. They also enjoyed the simple pleasure of being read to, reminding us all of the power of storytelling.

At our school, we know that reading is the key to unlocking imagination, expanding knowledge, and building strong literacy skills. World Book Day is a brilliant reminder of this, but our commitment to promoting reading doesn’t stop here. We will continue to do everything we can to ensure every child finds joy and confidence in reading, providing access to high-quality books, fostering curiosity, and making reading a central part of learning.
