This afternoon, Year 5 had an exciting opportunity to engage with a group of special visitors who shared fascinating insights into their careers. This session supported their current PDL learning theme, ‘Living in the Wider World,’ and helped answer key learning questions such as: ‘What is a career?’ and ‘Which subjects are linked to different careers?’ Our guests included Mary-Anne, a microbiologist, Luke, a Continuous Improvement Engineer, and Paul, an Aviation Customer Support Engineer. As the children listened, they were challenged to identify which school subjects and Gosport Futures skills were most relevant to each profession. The children impressed our visitors with their insightful questions and fantastic listening skills. A big thank you to our guests for inspiring the children, and well done to Year 5 for their enthusiasm and engagement!
