The current Geography unit in Year 6 is entitled ‘what is it like to live in North America?’ In our recent lesson, we explored the human and physical features of Mexico and other interesting facts which we recorded on a map of Mexico. Initially, we did not know much about Mexico but by the end of the lesson, we had gained a range of knowledge.
The different maps accessed showed the human features (such as cities and airports) and physical features (such as rivers, rainfall and mountains). Also, we looked at some statistics about Mexico’s imports and exports. We also compared Mexico City (the capital) to the more rural areas where villages can be found.
We are looking forward to exploring Mexico further over our next few lessons and comparing a town in Mexico to our own town of Gosport.
