We were excited to see everyone back last week and delighted that the community have settled into routines and have already started to make the most of the term ahead.

📅 Key Dates for January & February

• Dance Live Rehearsals: Mondays throughout January and 3rd February.
• Y5 Swimming Sessions: Weekly on Tuesdays.
• Parent/Teacher Meetings: For Years 3, 4, and 5 from 13th–16th January.
• Dance Live Event: 7th February at Portsmouth Guildhall.
• Half-Term: 17th–21st February.

🏫 After-School Clubs Restart
Clubs begin the week of 20th January. Keep an eye out for a Google Form to sign up. Dance Live and Lego League participants don’t need to reapply.

🏊 Swimming Reminders
Years 4–6 will participate in swimming lessons as part of the PE curriculum. Check the newsletter for specific dates and ensure all swim kits are ready and labelled.

📈 Attendance Matters
Attendance is crucial for learning. Fridays show the lowest attendance, and we’re striving to make learning unmissable every day. Your support in ensuring consistent attendance is greatly appreciated.

🧩 Home Learning Support
Help your child achieve their best by hearing them read five times a week, practising spellings and times tables, and completing tasks on Spelling Shed and Times Tables Rock Stars.

👕 Uniform Update
From Easter, our new uniform supplier will be Print and Sew on Stoke Road, Gosport, offering competitive prices and free delivery directly to school.

Thank you for your feedback in our recent parent survey! Highlights include:

• 87% of children are happy at school.
• 96% feel safe.
• Improvements planned in behaviour management, communication, and extracurricular opportunities.

🚧 Upcoming Construction Works
Pedestrian crossing improvements near Forest Way and Tichborne Way begin 6th January. This won’t affect school drop-offs and pick-ups.
