Our school grounds looked magical yesterday morning, with a sparkling layer of frost covering the fields, trees, and playground. The stunning wintery scenes remind us of just how lucky we are to learn and play in such a beautiful environment! As the colder weather sets in, we kindly ask that all children come to school wearing their King’s Academy jumper or cardigan and bring a coat to keep warm during outdoor playtimes and activities. While we know children don’t always feel the cold, having these items ensures they are prepared for any chilly conditions. Named hats, gloves, and scarves are also very welcome to help keep little hands and ears cosy! Please ensure all items are clearly labelled to avoid any mix-ups. To make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable during playtime, we’re also making adjustments for wet or soggy days. On these occasions, the school field will be open only to children wearing wellies. This helps us protect the field and keep children’s shoes dry. Although we have a small supply of wellies in school, it’s not enough for everyone, so we encourage children to bring their own. Please ensure wellies are named and brought to school in a bag to keep our lockers tidy. Thank you for your support in helping us keep playtimes fun, active, and safe during these chilly months. Together, we can enjoy all the beauty that winter brings!
