Our current PDL learning in Year 5 is linked to ‘Living in the Wider World’. On Friday afternoon, we had some special visitors in to speak to the children about their jobs. This helped the children to answer our learning question ‘What subjects are linked to different careers?’. 

Mary-Anne spoke to them about being a microbiologist, Luke talked about being a Continuous Improvement Engineer, Jack spoke about his two jobs – Accountant and Sound/Light Engineer and lastly, Paul explained what is involved in being an Aviation Customer Support Engineer. While listening, the children had to decide which school subjects and which Gosport Futures were involved in these roles. 

The children impressed our visitors with their amazing questions and fantastic listening! Thank you to our visitors for inspiring the children and well done year 5!
