Year 5 are learning about life cycles in science. To support this, they received an eggciting delivery of ten eggs on Monday. These eggs were kept warm in an incubator in the classroom. When the children arrived at school on Wednesday they discovered that two of the eggs had hatched! During the day more of the eggs hatched and both Maple and Hazel class were lucky enough to witness the chicks emerging. The final egg hatched on Thursday morning. During this time, the children have learned about how the eggs are different to the ones we would find on sale in the supermarket. The chicks will be transferred over to the brooder box soon and year 5 will be responsible for looking after them until they are collected next Friday.
