Yesterday, Year 5 had a wonderful day stepping back in time at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. They visited the Mary Rose Museum and were in awe of the fascinating remains and artefacts that have been preserved for so many years. The children were particularly impressed to see the skeleton of “Hatch”, the ship’s dog. On board HMS Victory, they went on an exciting guided tour and saw the place where Nelson was shot! In the afternoon, the whole year group met up on HMS Warrior. The children loved exploring the many decks and watching a gun demonstration. The children were fantastic ambassadors for our school and we are very proud of them!
