As part of their project learning, last week, Year 3 had the exciting opportunity to visit Butser Ancient Farm. This was an awesome day visit! After learning lots about the Stone Age in school, the children were able to see this in a real-life context when visiting a remodelled Stone Age village. During their time there, they found out about the different types of houses they built, the daily activities they completed and the food that they ate. The children had the chance to take part in activities similar to what would have taken place in the Stone Age, such as; chalk carving, wool spinning, archaeological dig and jewellery making! We had a great time and developed our historical knowledge.
