On Friday, Year 5 had a fantastic school visit, to the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. They visited the Mary Rose Museum, HMS Victory and HMS Warrior during their fun-filled day of learning! The children were keen to find out more about life on board the ships after learning about them in our project unit ‘How has the Royal Navy changed over time?’ this term. A few highlights from the day were: seeing the skeleton of Mary Rose’s dog Hatch; finding the point on board HMS Victory where Nelson fell, and learning how to correctly get into a hammock ready for a sleep on HMS Warrior. The children were super ambassadors for our school and should be very proud.
