We do hope you enjoyed the sunny weather over the weekend. The sun continues to shine and the children are thoroughly enjoying being outside. Today, we have reminded the children about sensible precautions in order to keep themselves cooler in lessons and at break times. To help keep them safe in the sun, we would like to remind our families of a key safety message: slip, slop, slap’. Sun safety experts recommend:
- Slip on sun protective clothing that covers as much of your body as possible.
- Slop on SPF 30 or higher broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen, at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every two hours when outdoors or more often if perspiring or swimming.
- Slap on a broad-brimmed hat that shades your face, neck and ears. We do not mind what colour this is.
Please help us to keep your child safe in the sun. We will continue to ensure they are drinking and finding the shade.
