Year 5 have been taking part in exciting project learning recently in partnership with the Earth Museum. The children researched British Expeditions of Empire, found out about artefacts from different parts of the world and discovered information about visitors to the museum at Haslar Hospital. Did you know that Haslar Hospital in Gosport had an important scientific museum in the 19th century which displayed artefacts and natural history brought back by doctors? Following this learning, as a year group we created our own Haslar Hospital Museum explorer map by inputting the information we had found out, adding in the longitude and latitude coordinates of where the artefact was discovered as well as pictures we had drawn onto a master spreadsheet. You can have a look at our map here.
