Team Rowner wish you a very happy and safe Christmas and hope you do not have to make use of the information in this letter. However, it is important you know what to do in the first week of the holidays if your child tests positive for COVID-19.
Track and Trace arrangements The updated DfE guidance focuses on track and trace arrangements for the school Christmas holidays. This ‘quick guide’ is helpful and we ask that you keep it to hand for the first week of the holiday. Please see below.
End-of-Term-gov.uk-adviceWe ask that you contact us immediately if your child tests positive for COVID-19 having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school by using our absence app at: Rowner Junior School
The school is asked to assist in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious whilst in school. The school will, in this situation, make contact with each family where a child is identified as a close contact. This is most likely to be a whole Bubble.
This means if your child attends school on the last day of term, Thursday 17 December, please contact us if they test positive having developed symptoms on December 18 (Friday) or December 19 (Saturday). In the ‘Absence Reason’ box, on the app via the link above, please tell us when you had a confirmed case of COVID-19.
