Online safety for our children is essential – especially as technology continues to be a part of our children’s everyday lives. Our October Online Safety Newsletter is full of helpful advice on how to keep your child safe while they use the internet and mobile devices – this was e mailed home, to all parents/carers, on Friday. Please take the time to read this information to help protect your child from online risks. In the newsletter, we cover important topics such as:

  • The risks of mobile phone use, including exposure to inappropriate content, excessive screen time, and cyberbullying.
  • The launch of new safety features for apps like Instagram, aimed at giving parents more control over what their child can access.
  • Guidance on setting parental controls and supervising your child’s online activity.
  • The growing concern about “vault” apps, which can hide content from parents and caregivers.

We highly encourage you to read the full newsletter, which has been sent to your email, to ensure that you are up to date with the latest information on keeping your child safe online. For easy access, all newsletters are also available on our school website – https://kgarowner.uk/online-safety-newsletters/ – so you can always find this and previous issues. Thank you for helping us create a safe online environment for all our children.
