Firstly, with thanks to all our families for their understanding of our decision to close today. We understand that today may have caused some inconvenience. However, our primary concern was to ensure that everyone remained safe during the forecasted adverse weather conditions expected during the storm. Secondly, with thanks to all the children who were able to attend their live online learning lessons – you were all brilliant. In our online live English learning, Year 5 used the Jamboard to generate vocabulary linked to a picture stimulus. After this, they worked independently on a piece of writing inspired by the image. The children could choose whether they wanted to write a diary entry, letter, newspaper article or story and tried their best to include language features they have been focusing on in class.
