World Book Day has been really cosy and comfortable; reading whilst wearing PJs and oodies! We read all the time at Rowner but WBD reminded us why books are so important, how lucky we are to have access to so many and take time to enjoy reading books that were new to us. Each class was read to by Mrs Knoll, Mrs Mulhall, Miss Sewell or Mrs Sharpe today – they shared a favourite book from their childhood. Maybe ask the children about ‘Gurtie and Gus’ or ‘The Far Away Tree’. Our whole school assembly provided an opportunity for the children to share their learning, have fun and talk about everything ‘book’ – with a spattering of cryptocurrency talk too!
