Recently, Year 3 were introduced to their new science unit – forces and magnets. The children started the unit of learning by finding out about the types of forces seen in action in everyday life; pushing, pulling, twisting, sliding etc. The children then had the chance to play a variety of games to see which forces were taking place. The children found out that lots of games had multiple forces occurring in order for them to work effectively. They also learned that in order for a force to act, sometimes the objects need.to make contact with one another.
