Yesterday, Year 5 had the exciting opportunity of making flatbreads with two of the local ASDA Champions – Rachel and Heidi. They made the bread dough by working in pairs mixing self-raising flour and greek yoghurt with some exciting additions too. There were several flavours including cheese and pepperoni and garlic & coriander. After making the ball of dough they split it into several individual balls and turned them into flatbreads. The children then had the chance to cook their flatbreads in a frying pan, making sure they turned them every 20 seconds. The year 5 children were fantastic chefs and showed excellent teamwork and listening. Afterwards, the children enjoyed sampling the flatbreads with a variety of dips- yummy!
