We are so pleased that Year 3 have settled into our school community. We recognise they feel they ‘belong’ and we are so pleased about this. We are really enjoying getting to know the children and their families. In their RE learning, Year 3 have been learning about the concept of ‘belonging’ – what ‘belonging’ means to them, what this looks like in our community and what ‘belonging’ means to Christians. Today, Chestnut Class had lots of fun at St Mary’s Church. The children learned about the importance of baptism and how this symbolises ‘belonging’ to Christian. The children were lucky enough to take part in a Baptism role-play and celebrated baby Gladys’ Christening!
