Year 5 had an exciting visitor this morning! Mr Scott (Rose’s dad) is in the Royal Navy and came to speak to us about his recent trip to the Arctic. We have been learning about the polar regions in our English and Project learning, so it was super exciting to hear about his experiences there. He explained how he travelled there, what his camp was like,  the job he did and what he ate (we even got to try some of the ice cream sandwich from his ration pack). It was fascinating to see the pictures and video footage he had taken, he was very lucky and saw the Northern Lights almost every night! Afterwards we had the chance to ask him some questions. A big thank you to Mr Scott for coming in to speak to us!
