Year 5 have been learning about time zones as part of their Earth and Space unit in Science. Last week, in class the children looked at what time it was in other parts of the world and why that is. They have also looked at some webcams set up in different places across the globe to see what time of day it was there! On one webcam in Florida the children observed an awesome Bald Eagle looking after its hatchlings (eaglets). At one point the eagle flew away and returned to the nest with a fish! It was very exciting- you can check it out on this link. The year group have since revisited the eaglets and Mrs Mulhall views daily to see how the birds are getting on. It is an exciting and wonderful scene to see.
