Dancing is a wonderful part of our curriculum. Dance is very important in schools because it allows us to inspire and motivate the children to express themselves through movement, emotion and music. Year 3 certainly expressed themselves today and they did so through the medium of Egyptian dance. Our Egyptian workshop was delivered by a drama teacher from Brune Park (one of our GFM family schools) and we had the chance to find out all about the story of Osiris (an Egyptian pharaoh we have been learning about). The children created freeze frames to demonstrate each part of the story. It was an awesome afternoon of learning!
