Year 3 have shown great creativity and leadership this afternoon when learning all about Skara Brae.

We started our lesson by using sources to find out information about Skara Brae – a Stone Age village from around 3000BC.

Using the sources, we discovered that the houses were very similar. They all had a fire in the centre, passageways between houses and beds built into the walls.

We used our inference skills to consider why the houses were built in this way.

Once we were confident with what the villages looked like, we used our creative skills to recreate them outside using resources we could find!
